3M National Student Fellowship: Call for Nominations

The Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) and 3M Canada are proud to announce the Call for Nominations for the 2015 3M National Student Fellowship.

Molson Prizes: $50,000

Two Canada Council for the Arts Molson Prizes, in the amount of $50,000 each, are awarded annually to distinguished individuals (one in the arts and one in the social sciences and humanities). The prizes are intended to encourage continuing contributions to the cultural and intellectual heritage of Canada.

The prizes are funded by an endowment from the Molson Foundation, and they are administered by the Canada Council for the Arts in cooperation with the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). The recipients are chosen by a peer assessment committee, which is appointed jointly by the Canada Council and the SSHRC.

Jim Rimmer Scholarship: Call for Entries

The Jim Rimmer Community Scholarship for Design Award is an exciting opportunity for students to submit a completed project (or one currently in progress) for a community program, a non-profit, or an environmental or social cause. Students who are currently enrolled in a design program in British Columbia or who have graduated within the past year (Fall 2013/Spring 2014) are eligible. Scholarships will be awarded on the strength the solution, and how effectively it communicates a message, benefits a community, affects action and promotes change.

Scholarships Awarded:
Two $1,000 scholarships from Hemlock Printers Ltd.

Submission Deadline: Monday, November 17, 2014 (4:00 pm)

Fessenden-Trott Scholarship

Available only once every 4 years to eligible BC post-secondary institutions, the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) offers a scholarship valued at $9000.  KPU students who have completed their first year of a degree program on a full-time basis and have attained high academic standing, may submit an application to the Student Awards and Financial Assistance office by May 20, 2014 for review and consideration.  Information and instructions for applying, are available at:
