The Artifice is an online magazine that covers a wide spectrum of art forms, including Film, Anime, Comics, Literature, Games, and Arts. It is collaboratively built and maintained by the writers. The platform has an established audience of millions.

Sustainable KSA: Volunteer Opportunities

We’re looking for volunteers to talk to students about waste – yup garbage!

The KSA has a new waste bin system for events that will help us sort event waste into paper, compost, bottles/cans and landfill bound garbage. What we need now are volunteers to help educate students about what they should put into each bin and why! So, if you think garbage is a waste, like compost, or think talking to new people is fun, contact sustainability@kusa.ca for more information about joining this volunteer team! The first training session will be Wednesday October 15, 2014 from 11-12:30 at the KSA Surrey Boardroom.

Richmond Museum: Volunteers Wanted

The Richmond Museum seeks volunteers to assist with the installation of its next exhibition, Interwoven World. This exhibition explores how western fashion has been influenced for centuries by diverse cultures around the globe.

Duties and responsibilities:
– cleaning cases and artefacts
– applying fabric to cases and plinths
– assisting with mounting labels
– assisting with the exhibit opening on Thursday, November 6, evening

Availability: October 6-November 5, weekdays 9am-5pm; and Thurs Nov 6, evening. Minimum 4-hour shifts preferred.

Location: Richmond Museum (inside the Richmond Cultural Centre), 7700 Minoru Gate, Richmond BC. Very accessible by public transit. Free parking is available.

Marketing Practicum Business venture is looking for design students who are willing  to help us establish our brand. The tasks involved in the project may include:

  • creating a brand logo (visual and conceptual),
  • creating product packaging (important part of our business),
  • creating both online and offline promotional posters,
  • creating brochures and greeting cards.

They are all grassroots, community projects, so we’re not able to pay other than perhaps a small honorarium, heaps of gratitude, and public acknowledgement!
